To add to this my wife requested lingonberries in the crepes if that help some of you with an idea of what will go well as a side.
Crepes are simple flower, egg, milk, water, sugar. There are
thousands of recipe out there on the web. For breakfast crepes
I like a recipe with more egg. For desert crepes a recipe with
less egg and more sugar is good. For savory crepes a recipe
with no sugar and less egg is good. Start with any of them
and you are good to go.

A breakfast crepe can have any jam (yes lingonberry is good).
Fresh fruit and whipped cream on an egg rich crepe can
be a hearty breakfast. You can also wrap up some scrambled
egg and a bit of ham.

Savory can have a filling of chicken, beef, chicken pot pie filling
is a good thing. Cheese, sauteed mushrooms, chili, sloppy-joe mix,
    even veggies.

my recipe for crepes is as follow's
    1 cup of flour
    1 cup of water
    1 egg
    1 dash of salt
you may need to add a little water as the mix may be a little thick depending on the size of the egg.

and i serve them with a mixture of brown sugar and milk and it's mixed so it has a consistincy of a wood glue(if that makes sense) pour the "syrup" in the center and roll up and enjoy anything goes with it, i would have to agree with the thick cut butchers bacon! and freshly squeezed OJ.

Well guys, am I ever stuffed. MMMmmm good!!! It was a hit...mostly. The kids didn't like the wensleydale cheese with cranberries and the 2 youngest didnt like the mascarpone and honey crepes (More for me and my wife). The wensleydale was out of this world.
I bought a little nutella and the crepes that were left over were made into nutella crepes for the kids.

    Thanks for all your ideas!!

My favourite is crêpe Suzette. Plenty of recipes on the web but basically you have to make an orange flavoured sauce using lumps of sugar, orange zest & juice, grand marnier.

    *oops too late*

Nice go around I'd try to make a nice cherry crepe those things are great. Wouldn't be to bad with the right cheese either.
