Right now I am using Yuban. Since the wife is pregnant, she is not drinking coffee, but we normally make a point to go to Fresh Market and pick out something nice from time to time.

I'd be willing to bet few actually use a percolator to brew coffee.
I usually get my beans from Sweet Maria's. Everytime I order I get a different type of coffee. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 5Wasn't ever happy with the percolator and, since I'm usually the only one in the house partaking, converted 10yrs ago to the #2 drip cone or occasional French press.
Always ground my own on the spot in either case.
Much, much stronger the #2 drip way than the percolator, though you've gotta fit a cup's worth of water in the little paper so there's some tending needed on your end (we are folks whom are willing to straight razor shave, though).
49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, occasionally on sale from the regular price @ Williams-Sonoma stores, is certainly fabulous coffee.
And as a former New Yorker, I can't heartily recommend enough Empire Coffee & Tea on the east side of 9th avenue between 42nd and 41st streets, whom have many lovely blends and a really passionate staff of coffee/tea-aholics.

I thought that I wanted to give a percolator a shot a bit ago, but finally came to the conclusion that if I wanted to drink coffee that had been cooked over itself and seemed a bit reconstituted I could just buy it from a gas station. Wasn't really a fan. Maybe I should have tried it over a campfire?

Hey,
I have to chime in in this one. I've been a member of SRP for about 2 yrs now and man do I have the restore bug.
As you can tell by my logo, I'm a coffee roaster. My wife is from Brazil and her family has farms down there. So I married into coffee. We import green coffee and roast it ourselves in small batches so it's always fresh. Our company is called DO Brazil Coffee, Inc. You can check us out here About Brazilian Coffee - DO Brazil Coffee, Inc. It's relatively new. 2 yrs now.
I'd be glad to send out samples. Just PM me.
Thanks,
Doug

I love me coffee and try something new near constantly. Press or Turkish. but I let them grind it. typically I prefer African coffee over S.American. but it's all good; almost

My favorite is/was Seattle's Best. Unfortunately, they stopped selling online several years ago.
There is a local Indianapolis brand here-- Hubbard & Cravens--that is superb too that I like to enjoy.
Finally, there is Starbucks...Not too bad, considering the fact that my son works at an in-state Starbucks and brings me a bag of unground coffee beans, gratis, whenever he comes home to visit every couple of weeks."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
