Thanked: 21Brandy was the other way around, my dog for a few years before I even met my wife. I'm not sure who took it harder when she left us though.

Not much of a pic but here's to one of our family members.
This is one of the last pics i have of one of our doggies. The one in the middle.
A tumor was diagnosed some months ago but at first it didn't look like being too serious. We thought that as long as the doggie seems to enjoy its life as a dog it might as well stay here with us. About a month ago tumor had turned into bad cancer and the dog showed first signs that everything is not ok. Didn't like to eat its food any more and almost kept sleeping after sleeping. Another visit to the doctor told us that there's nothing to be done to save it. We could have prolonged its life by keeping it doped with all kinds of strong medicines but such life is not worth living, specially for the dog that used to love running free outdoors and action, chasing birds and rabbits and deers and whatever. So there was only last favor to do, and that was about it.
Afterall they just dogs, creatures that shouldn't ever be humanized but still they have been like a dear family members. We had a privilege on enjoying its company for only 6 years. I still think it all was unfair, but who said that life should be fair.
There's still 2 we have left: 'puppy', 2 years on the left and 'oldster', on the right. About 13 years and still going strong.

This is my hearing dog, Baron, practicing Yoga with me at the Sivananda Ashram in Woodbourne, New York. He's a terrier/poodle mix and will be 12 years old this September. He's much more than a pet, though; he keeps me connected to the world of sound.

Great pets, friends.
This is "Faco", a four years old French bulldog. Sympathetic, caring, has a very playful character. These animals are part of the family, not just a pet for us.

From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place
