I'm not a fur bearer lover...
That said I'm stuck with 2 furry beasts... The white one, Alaska, and the calico, Georgia, are to apease the family...
10 years ago I caved in and let slip my "No cats or dogs" rule and got my wife and very young daughter a cat. A lady I sold snakes and feeder mice to also ran a cat rescue in Anchorage AK. She mentioned she had a kitten she was nursing back to health after being dumped in a paring lot in town (December mind you) these kittens where still nursing age when she collected them. For about a month she mentioned her rutine of taking Georgia to work in her purse and using a bottle nursing the kitten till she was weened... Somewhere along that conversation I agreed to adopt the kitten for the family (Huh how did that happen???)
From the minute that cat set foot in our apartment, she picked me to bond with and instantly hated everyone else... WTF!!! After 10 years she has mellowed... just a little... still hates everyone else and is ALWAYS withing 10 feet of me...
We got Alaska a few years later due to a few weird mix ups... Mostly to give Georgia a playmate so she may calm down... Well she did stop harassing us a bit, and made it her mission in life to get rid of this intruder...
Alaska is a farking DOG in cats fur, he chases his tail, barks at birds, and can care less if Georgia is put off by his pressence... He is also a bonless lap cat that my wife absolutley LOVES!!!
Did I mention I really hate cats???
I'm a scales kind of guy, fish and reptiles I can get along with...

Allow me to introduce Rambunctious, named that because he is. He allows me to stay in his condo as long as I feed and water him and tend to his litter box.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I will have to post pictures later as I am at work and do not have pictures of my animals here on my computer. I have a small zoo started at my house.
We have 2 rescue dogs Tigger is a Shepherd/Collie mix and very territorial so the only people he will let into the house are my parents and my wife's parents. Cocoa is the other and she is suppose to be a Shepherd mix as well which I swear it is a Shepherd/Jack Russell mix just because she is so damn hyper.
We have 3 cats as well with all 3 being rescued animals. Bear is our black cat with a bobbed tail. My wife got him at 4 weeks old ( the mother abandoned the whole litter) so we bottle fed him the first month we had him. Vixen is a gray and white American short-hair that we got at the pound with his sister Tinkerbell who is a gray tiger stripe cat.
The last little addition to our menagerie is Lola a male rabbit that my wife got for our daughter when I was on a business trip ( I had originally said no more animals ).Last edited by Troggie; 06-22-2010 at 10:49 AM.

Here's our dogs. The one on the last pic is still a puppy but already has an ego of a big dog.
