Different beers
I, myself, am not much of a drinker. If i buy a 6 pack of beer, it takes me about 2 months to drink it. My go to beer is Corona with a lime, but i just tried the Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat beer. I figured, Hey i like cherry Pepsi so why not this. It tasted almost like a cherry medicine. Has anyone else tried this beer or can maby recommend another beer as i would like to try something different but don't know which way to turn.

A cherry wheat beer sounds....nasty.
Personally, I normally drink a nice hefeweizen. Like you, I normally drink one beer. As such, I want one with enough body to feel like I've just had a meal and the hefe fits the bill perfectly.

Thanked: 1I really like Blue Moon, Shock Top and Samuel Adams Summer Ale. You can also not go wrong with Shiner Bock.
p.s. Also try some stuff from the Stone Brewing company. Besides being tasty they have a manly gargoyle on all their bottles. http://www.stonebrew.com/Last edited by scarey; 06-28-2010 at 11:04 PM. Reason: addition

I tried a Blue Moon once about 2 months ago. Didn't like it, don't remember why though. I have looked at Shock Top and thought it had citrus in it but the label said spices. Is it spice like pepper or hot sauce?

I am a huge beer drinker and brew my own at home. I could recommend you 1,000 beers to try, but it sounds to me like you are not much of a beer drinker.
I would definitely recommend a Blue Moon as a good commercial beer that is different than the standard Bud, Miller, etc. Along those lines, if you can get to a beer distributor and find Hoegaarden, that is the standard for wheat/wit beers to me. Very light and highly drinkable.
See my post here (only if you are feeling adventurous):

Oh man, I really dislike Sam's Cherry Wheat.
When it comes to recommending a beer, it really depends on what you like. If you like Corona, you might like Summer Ales. As mentioned, the Blue Moon is good. Maybe try Shock Top or Landshark too. Bar Harbor Brewing Co has a really nice summer ale too (I was just up at the brewery this past week).

Thanked: 1Shock Top's spices are citrus spices and kinda tastes like there is an orange in your beer. I was not sold until i tried it. I have been drinking a a lot of IPA's(India Pale Ale) lately. You not being a beer drinker i would not recommend it. Many people find highly hopped beer a little harsh. You never know until you try.
