Just walked by my local cigar store and couldn't help but walk in.

    Picked up a few cigars.
    3 Romeo y Julieta churchills and 2 Romeo y Julieta #2's

Have no where to really store them tho. They are sealed in tubes tho. Can I just wet the bag they are in and keep them in the fridge for a while?

When you are actually so interested, buying 3 RyJ Churchill`s I mean walking by a cigar store, get yourself a small desktop humidor, or better a large one...

But to answer your question. Let the cigars be in their tubos and put them in ZipLock bags without any water added and store them at a cool and dark place in your home. If you put them in the fridge for a long time they will get the taste of your fridge.. Stored in Zip`s like I suggested they should be fine (if properly stored until you bought them) for a couple of weeks. For longer ageing you should get yourself a humidor or put them in a humid wine-cellar if your house has something like that. If you live in a very dry and warm place, smoke them earlier than I suggested.

Yeah I impulse buy my cigars alot lol.

I did actually end up getting a humidor after I posted this tho.

It wasn't a totally impulse buy tho. I have a few weddings coming upland bought them to share with my new addition to the family.

Very nice Vegas Robaina Habana today. If you haven't ever tried one of these, it is a really good cigar and not too expensive.

    have fun,

    Howdy all,

Quick question. I just bought a box of cigars off a local add. Checking them over I realized they were quite dry. I have a humidor coming in the next week or so. But what do you all recommend until then.

Also if I don't have any distilled water at the moment will tap or spring water do more harm than good?

    Thanks for the help

for starters how humid is your bathroom if it is quite humid perhaps you could store the box there some where dry at least temporarily until your humidor comes in, as far as water you can get distilled water at almost any supermarket or drug store
