Tried a new to me Hamlet Tabaquero in a corona size by Rocky Patel. Hamlet Peredes is a world class master Cuban roller who is well known to Cuban cigar lovers worldwide. He worked his way up though the business and ended up at the Partagas La Casa Del Habanos in Cuba where he blended and rolled custom cigars and finally became a spokesperson for Habanos S.A. visiting LCDH stores worldwide demonstrating rolling and blending. If you were lucky enough to be able to smoke some Cuban Hamlets you will never forget what a pleasure they were.

Hamlet left Cuba with his family and found safety in Canada where he hooked up with Rocky Patel. Patel re-settled Hamlet and his family in Naples Florida and Hamlet now works in Rocky's cigar bar "Burn". Hamlet began working with other great tobacco's beside Cuban and the result is the introduction of this new line.

This was a corona size and I truly enjoyed every inch of it. Well rolled and blended with a San Andres wrapper leaf holding Nicaragua long filler. I will get some more of these. : )

    Awesome write up.

Thanks for the background on Hamlet. I will now seek one out, and hope it treats me as well as it did you.

    Last night....Illusione H-Town Lancero.

My extended base pads came in for the Glock, so I was out in the shed having a good old time.

A wonderful smoke today. A 1998 Punch Monarcas en Tubo. Got through the entire New York Times Sunday edition while enjoying this cigar.

Beautiful day here for a cigar. This is one of the new release from Hirochi Robaina & Omar Alemon from La Corona Cigar Works in Esteli, Nicaragua. Hirochi is of the Cuban Robaina clan probably the most famous of Cuban cigar tobacco growing families. If you get the chance to try these do not hesitate.

Curious as to whether anyone has tried Al Capone Sweets, and what your opinion is.
