I was wondering, I have a tobacco jar, would that be an appropriate storage vessel for cigars in plave of a wooden humidor?

Some will tell you yes and some will tell you no. Will it work -Yes. Is it the best medium for storing cigars - No. Cedar however, will help maintain humidity better than plastic. Put in a couple of Boveda packs in a cedar lined humidor = great results!
