Montecristo Petit No. 2 - as great as their classic torpedo, but for when you only have an hour Name: VXx66u7F0eETeJqkoFZifFWFnMhGFfWenj2gVC1-qEhS7mCI6QNYR7FMLk9YnDCpAFjD8qOJ0L1USjuhsPt1AI6mKRAJQtuo.jpg

Just got back from a week in Havana, where I smoked 2 or 3 cigars per day, without any repeat cigars. At home one per month is more my speed - the number of cigars I smoked this trip was unprecedented for me.

I don't remember every cigar I smoked, and I didn't take photos, unfortunately. The pleasant surprises were the Hoyo de Monterey Epicure line, and the disappointments were the Partagas Series P No. 2 (all the other Partagas' were delightful as usual) and every Upmann I tried (especially the Magnum 54). Honourable mentions to Vegueros and Sanzo Panza, two brands that were new to me and were super tasty.

I brought home a box of Hoyo de Monterey Epicure De Luxe and Montecristo No. 4, as well as a small box of Romeo & Julieta Romeo No. 3.

I find myself enjoying the smaller gauges these days, which is interesting. Previously, the rubusto size was the smallest I would ever go for. Maybe it's because I could smoke more smaller cigars in a day than the bigger ones.

This reminds me of my own trip to Cuba some 7 years ago: I smoked in two weeks more cigars than I usually smoke in two years I just wanted to try everything - and failed miserably So many great things to try and for such great prices... I did took notes though, so till this very day all my Habanos purchases are based on my own tasting notes
Ended up taking home the maximum allowed quota - for both myself and my non-smoking dive buddy
Funny thing, Montecristo No.4 used to be my favorite stick too, before I've shifted to larger sizes - it's anything between corona and double corona these days for me.

This cigar is one of the boxes I brought back from my trip to Cuba in January. Super tasty!
