I've also heard it as, "Hand rolled on the thighs of virgins".

maiden = virgin. At least, in theory.

I still don't have any dusky Cuban maidens with bare thighs in the shop, but here is a quick and dirty vid of my first rolling machine, and also my latest one.

    And the obligatory stogie pic

Way too much work for me! I think that I'll stick to store bought cigars. Just pick one up, cut the cap and smoke it! Easy and no fuss.

HAHAHA Says a guy who lathers with a badger brush, strops and hones, and shaves with a straight razor instead of swiping a Bic across his face in the shower!

But yeah I get where you are coming from. It's another rabbit hole but not as much expensive stuff to buy, and wow, even just decent cigars, let alone good cigars are getting crazy expensive.

So I broke down and grabbed one of the cigars that I have been infusing with rum for about 2 1/2 months now. So glad that I did! That cigar was on of the most enjoyable ones that I have had in a very long time. No bite at all! The flavor from the rum was present but not overpowering. The entire bouquet and flavor of the cigar was very pleasant.

I smoke often and have several humidors. It’s a good way to slow down, reflect and live in the moment.
