SJF in a freehand Milano. It's smoken pretty good in this pipe, too.
Today was a healthy bit of Granger with a nice vodkarita. Roommates made a pitcher and I figured what could happen? I was pleasantly surprised how good they were.

Sitting at the my backyard. Enjoying some Rattrays and strong lager. Wifey said i look lazy but actually that is not so. Not at all. I am getting ready to watch soccer semifinals Ger-Ita this evening. Germany will win for sure. (At least it should because me and son put some money on it).

And now something totally different and unseen (at least for me). Upon visiting local tobacco shop today i found this. Let me explain.
There has been many tobacco factories in my home town at the days of old. Rettig (nowadays Amer Sports, i think) was the last.
One of those old producers was named Konst (Konstantin) Kallio and the production ended after the factory was destroyed in terror bombings at June 1942. For reason unknown the owner decided to keep the stock he had left somewhere without ever selling it. Until now. This month his family members decided to sell the whole stock to local pipe shop. 70 years after this tobacco was made.
I got a sample of moisturized tobacco today and have to say it was 'most interesting', very strong stuff. 60% of imported tobaccos and the rest is some local poison. Who knows what they put in these mixtures specially at the times of war when there was huge shortage of everything. The price was 50 marks at 1942 (incl taxes). If i haven't lost all my skills in mathematics, that would be about 9 € today. However, today they sell it for 7€/box. Not all are for sale: they are saving some to sell or give at the last pub where smoking is still allowed. Pretty popular place among local pipe & cigar smokers.
I'm not going to open it now. Have to moisturize it first. Probably got few boxes more, if there's still left.

Smoking the Meerschaum with Black Watch while sipping Navy Grog lounging in the kiddie pool. Yea, it’s that kind of day.

Sir, I find your kiddie pool an offence to the piping world.
You must upgrade to at least a Turtle pool for proper soaking/smoking enjoyment! LOL!
MWS, I hope one day to be able to make such an upgrade. Until then, I must use what I have.
Nosewarmer, yes it is. Furthermore, it is the old logo. I know you are jealous.";"
If it is the plastic cup part to which you object, no glass in the "pool" area!! Safety first!! :D
Outstanding! How long did it take for the meer to color like that? I have a couple Altinok Meer's, hope they look like that someday. Of course, I probably need to smoke them a bit more.
Your Altinok Meer pipe was made from Turkish meerschaum.
My pipes are from Tanzanian meerschaum.
So, different meerschaum - different color before and after smoking.
Here is "new" pipe from Tanzanian block meerschaum.
As you see, very different colors.:)

I opened up my tin of Jack Knife ready rubbed and there was only a pinch left. :(
So I mixed it with a few flakes of MVF and loaded a large rustic Autograph 4. Tasting pretty good. A little on the tame side.

Still alive and smoking guys, just busy as all hell. Been smoking my Walker Briar Works Nosewarmer Cob along with some 1Q and Georgetown Christmas Morning a lot lately while driving at work. Actually didn't smoke much last week while on vacation, in laws and a Utah brewery kept me busy ;).
Wessex's Burley Slice in its Autograph 4. Outstanding.

Medium Virginia Flake in a Nording Freehand.
Good morning fellow pipe lovers.
If anyone in Toronto wants some free unopened Tins of various sg blends send me a pm.
I feel like the pipe is no longer for me.
wow, as a recently reformed smoker this is a dangerous thread, those pipes are SOOOOOO stylish, I didn't often smoke a pipe, but I did have a great fondness for exotic and high quality tobaccos.
If I could smoke moderately I'd really enjoy a nice relaxing pipe of an evening.
Oh well.
Mick pm me your address I'll try to ship you a tin or two. Not sure when it would get to you tho.
On second thought anyone who wants them send me a pm. I'll try to ship them to everyone. That being said no promises on when they will get there since Canada post doesn't always ship tobacco.
Evening pipe at the neighborhood. St James Flake from vintage Danish Star (Stanwell 2nd).
Gonna be a big and deep silence at home after lady finds out i let dog to sea. Takes hell of a brushing from her to get it back ok.

Billy Budd in a Butt Ugly Rhodesian. @wvloony, how is that Presbyterian Mix? It's been on my gotta try list for several years but I've just not gotten around to it. Judging from Tobacco Reviews, it seems to be one of those love it or hate it blends. What do you think?
i like it, not to harsh will be buying some when money is available
Opening Night in an Autograph 5. Thought about opening another VA, but nah, this stuff is just to good.
