lately I've been revisiting some of my old tobaccos that I'd decided wernt my favorites since I'm out of my usuals, CH, PA, Estonia Pembroke, and Waccamaw Low country. Yes I know, when it rains it poors. After a few more bowls I've found I like it. After it settling a bit it no longer turns sour toward the end on me and now has become one I'll keep on hand.
On a side note I've decided on my next order C&D OJC, MacB navy flake, and possibly some haunted bookshop or Peterson university flake.
Just cracked a jar of FVF from April'10. It smelled wonderful while loading the bowl, and tastes pretty darn good in it's Altinok Rhodesian.

The war is over, sacrifices were made, but life eventually returns to normal. I thought I would put up a photo of what my tobacco money has paid for. The long awaited relication of my grandfathers medals. After sending a photo of these off to my Aunt she was so proud of what I had done, and so moved by the tribute, that she is now sending me my grandfathers original medals for safe keeping.

I have another pipe smoking query. If one wished to put out a pipe halfway through and return to it later is this doable? As in if my boss lady shouts me to do something can I put it out and return later to enjoy the rest of it?

Sure, I do it all the time. But unlike cigarettes, the only real way to put a pipe out is to simply sit it down and stop puffing on it. If you do this with a cigarette of course it will continue to burn but not so with a pipe, if not puffed, it will go out. Then when you have some more time simply relight the pipe. There's the school that says tap out the ashes before relighting and the other that just sets fire to it and calls it good. Either way I've never seen much of a difference.Quote:

Regrettably it is time to say goodbye to a few old friends. Smoking a couple of times a month does not warrant owning dozens of pipes and I seem to keep buying more. So, today it is a farewell smoke of Frog Morton in a fun little L Antra.

Today is SG Chocolate Flake in a Cob with a nice cup of very strong cup of tea, with a splash mint as a sit on the balcony icing injuries sustained from temporary lapse common sense.
I feel for ya devilpup. I'm currently hobbling about with a cane after stepping in a deep hole out in the paddocks (paddocks might be called meadows for some of you, I'm not sure. Meadow sort of suggests pretty, wildflower filled, green pasture though, and that just isn't what brown, long dry grass and weeds look like here in Australia) on friday while knocking down the tangle of weeds and rubbish growing along the boundary fences. The ankle is throbbing like b@$t@rd at the moment.
The pipes of choice over the weekend were my trusty Pete system anda cheap no name pipe that fits nicely into my work shirts pocket without taking up too much space. Tobacco of choice was my standard BK Cherry Cavendish. No photo's this time. Sorry.

I definitely understand. In may I shredded my hip flexer. Last night I hopped a railing thinking it was going to be about a 6-8 ft fall, I misremembered by a long shot it was closer to 15-20 ft fall when you count the railing. Ah the poor choices of youth, ce la vie you live you learn.Quote:
