I didn't rub it out into other blends, but alternated a pinch of FVF with a pinch of whichever other, until I filled the bowl. That worked out very well for me with whatever it was I was smoking at that time. Mostly 965, Robusto, Rum Flake, among others that I don't really recall offhand.

Smoking Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture tonight in my Savinelli Punto Oro. Since were on the subject of Virginias, I don't what it is about this blend but it just has a balance that brings out the best in its components just enough Perique to enhance and give weight to the sweet citrusy Virginias. The blend of sweet a little lemon and spice. Its captivating I never get sick of this stuff. Everybody is different though, what tobaccos are your go to blends when you don't know what to have?

After a day and a half of neglect, I brought the garbage can over to my chair and emptied out the pipes that had accumulated. For Razorfaust, one is not a Castello.

Enjoyed a pipe of HH Bold Kentucky this afternoon. I am really liking this tobacco.

Jimmy, thanks for the palm rub advice it works perfectly.

I took a look at Castello pipes and prices. :p perhaps in my next lifetime.

I'll have to try that. I think I have at least 3 tins tucked away in the closet. All the reviews I read made me think it was going to be more flavorful, so I'm glad I'm not the only one that found it mild.

I took a look at Castello pipes and prices. :p perhaps in my next lifetime.

Probably 85% of my Castello's came as estates from either the Chicago or Columbus pipe shows over a twenty year period. Prices are pretty good at the shows. If you can, you should try to get to the Vegas show, I think it's in November each year. Google West Coast Pipe Show. I have only bought one pipe since 2008 and that was last year, it was also a Castello Estate.

About to fill one with Haunted Bookshop.

Tonight its Dunhill Flake in my Rattray Old Gowrie #6, paired with a Manhattan cocktail and unsuccessfully trying to stop my cat from meowing cause she will wake up the SWMBO. I find the Virginia flake very nice and soothing atm, a good Virginia needs to be paid attention to, its not going to scream flavors at you. Just relax and discover its subtle secrets.

Well since my experience at the NY pipe show was a bust cuz I was late. Was wondering if anybody ever dealt with this guy MKELAW PIPES ? Seems reputable any experiences?

Weekend went way too fast for me..........Finishing with a little Tawney Port and some McClellends bulk 2000 FMG laced with a little Mind Meld Chocolate nut aromatic in the Butz Choquine Diam rustic acorn(one of my favorite pipes). :chapeau

Name is familiar but I pulled up his site and his face is not, sorry. I have bought several from this person, in person at pipe shows. His name is Luca di Piazza and he is from Italy. Very good guy to deal with. neatpipes.com. Today's code for free shipping is W160323. He does this every Wednesday and it is good only on that day. I have not bought through his site, just in person.
