Finally I took the plunge and bought some reaming tools. First time victim was my BC Diam Acorn. Got a lot of carbon out wow. Took it very slow with great success. One more step in the long path of self sustaining. Between the two I think I can safely accomodate all my pipes.
Time for more milk oolong tea and hmmmm a pipe perhaps...

You definitely want to SLOWLY open the jaws on the adjustable.
I ream my pipes every 3 or 4 months. I keep the cake fairly thin.
Yeah this pipe definitely had cake and then some. I can get my pinky back down to the bottom again and it was carbon I was removing. Now my pipes shall be a little more pampered ha ha.
Dave...do you do anything to treat your bowls after reaming?:hmmm:
I got this around 1981. Still works great.
I do keep it clean.
