I tried a Gawith Hoggarth Coniston Cut Plug once. Luckily, I got an ounce.

It ghosted a African meer ( following). Took 5 bowls to get that smell out.
I noticed a lot of G&H's bulk and tinned tobacco is out of stock ? Any idea if that's pandemic related or what ??
Sorry Dave you said the smell was unappealing. Was it the same issue I had with the half and half even though that was a taste issue with me ??
The issue was with the taste.
I have tasted Lakeland essence in other GH blends. It was not bad.
OTOH, this coniston plug must have need soaked in the stuff. It was strong as hell and reminded me why I don't smoke arose.
GH tobaccos are in heavy demand. When smokingpipes.com get some, and that is rare, they last a few hours.
They got some last night at 11:00 pm ie I got emails saying ones I had put a watch on were in. I ordered 3 and they were out of stock by 5:00 am this morning.
Everyone is running scared the federal dems will halt on line sales of tobacco. Some states have already done this. The best advice is buy it if you can find it.

Put in a #2 and let Bonnie go!
I'm a barber and flat out refuse to cut my fiance's hair. It's a no win situation. If I do great, odds are her mum and sisters will also want cuts, so I have to work during my time off. If I do a terrible job, she will be unhappy and neither of us will ever forget it.
Been slowly working my way through a couple pounds of Half n Half lately. Last week I popped into my local tobacco shop (mostly discount cigarettes and vape things) and was shocked to see a tub of Carter Hall with a $75 price tag instead of the usual $25. When I asked about the change I was informed that the big tubs are now "collectable" as they have been discontinued. Just wish I had stocked up a few months ago as I'm starting to run low on my OTC blends.

A Rossi Lucca Lumberman XL and some Lane1Q. I wouldn't walk around clenching away on this as it's more like a Tavern Pipe or a campfire pipe to me. All the cooling abilities of a churchwarden without the LARP feel to it. But that's just me and my taste. With the nice big bowl on it it's perfect for long stare sessions at a crackling fire or even a nice candle. Great smoker.:chapeau
My Brother got me this pipe and normally it wouldn't be my pic till I realized what a great campfire pipe it would make. Also one night while watching the Hobbit I was noticing the pipe that Aragorn smoked and thought this (the Lumberman) is definitely something I would smoke sitting by the pub fire with a tankard of Ale .
Now remembering JimmyHAD and his love of Canadians.
Jimmy said he put a pipe in his mouth the moment he woke up and took it out at bedtime. Several pipes during the day I would guess.
My new meer from Yunar..
A beautifully made pipe with great silver work.
Included was a meer tamper and a mini display pipe.
