This thread is hard to read.
I picked this Vintage no-name up the other day and it is still being treated with Salt/Vodka. Maybe tomorrow night I can give her a first smoke.

Only marking is "Made in London England". Am I crazy to believe it could be a Charatan second? It looks just like their 402 Canadian shape to me.

Just received my order of Chocolate Flake and Squadron Leader. Thanks to wvloony for the heads up!! Tried the flake straight from the tin, folded over on itself, in a Barontini Rhodesian with a wide bowl. Ungh....too wet, too chocolaty and wouldn't stay lit. I rubbed out some into a pie plate and let it sit out over night.
This morning I loaded some of the now drier, rubbed out flake into my London poker with a tall narrow bowl. Paired it with some strong 8 o'clock 100% columbian. GOODNESS GRACIOUS it's good!!!

Peterson Aran shape b10, with some Frog Morton on the Town.
I don't know what brand that is, but I have a no name made in London (some guys have guessed it might be a Comoy--I don't know). My father gave to me for my first pipe on Xmas a little over thirty years ago and it is one of my best smokers. Gotta love a London made briar! Let us know how it smokes when you get the chance.
Not a regular smoker, but I do enjoy the occasional pipe:
Peterson Dalkey, fishtail, with Mac Baren Scottish Blend mixture. Sat on the terrace a while, enjoyed the snow melting and dreamed of spring, and my slow pipe.

Another rainy morning brightened up by some Carter Hall in a small bowl Grabow, coffee on the side. Need to do some work around the farm but the rain is preventing that, guess I will have to sit on the deck and smoke the day away, darn!
Rain & thunder here this morning. Sitting on the patio with some LTF in a Pete 999.
Happy birthday etom

I know how that feels mate. Good to start with but only until you realise just how much that work is going to accumulate by the time you can get to it. Then you think 'O poo'...Or words to that affect.
Is it your birthday Tom? Happy birthday my friend. I thought it had been already?! Or maybe that was Sailors birthday.
Mick
Yes it was my birthday
Thanks a lot friends!
Guten Geburtstag, Thomas!!!
A little bit later, :)
Happy Birthday and all the best, Thomas!
Sorry I am late happy birthday Thomas
Today, as I was going through a drawer, I found my old pipe from Mexico and also my grandfather's old Brigham, which had been given to me as a keepsake when he passed away. I decided I would give it a try and see how it went. I picked up some Mr. B Maple Vanilla tobacco and dug up my memories on how to pack a pipe (it's been 8 years), aided by a youtube video or two. The result was great, with a nice smooth smoke and lots of wonderful memories of a great man.
Here's a photo I took of the pipe:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM:beer1:
Happy Birthday Tom! Hope you have many more to come. Started the day off with some Boswell's Dutch Treat in a bent Pete and coffee on the side.
Little late to the party myself but Happy Birthday Tom and thank you for all the wonderful pics you have shared with us.
It's a pleasure to me..
I think, this forum is a very well community. I met a lot of wonderful people here.
It is not only the virtual forum. Much more better it is to meet the friends during trips in foreign countries. Last year I met Alex at the Golan Heights. This year I'll meet Max in Las Vegas.
I am proud to have a lot of friends around the world.
Happy birthday Tom!
