Pipe of the Day

4 1/2 day camping trip only my cell phone for pictures. I only took a few because it was off most of the time to save the batteries in case I would need it and could get reception. Northern Wisconsin. No editing! :D

The blue tarp/tent is included because it blew down on a buddy at night in a storm. Two of us in our underwear in the rain/wind and dark dealing with it. Picture that!:rofl2:

while my eyes are treated to such glorious sights, my palate enjoys Scottish Flake in a rustic autograph 4. One out of 2, ain't bad for Vegas odds.

Well that all depends on which part of the country you're in at the time. Charlotte Pass in New South Wales got down to -23.0C (-9.4F) back in 1994...But where I use to sit and stay warm and out of the wind the average winter day could be as cold as -5C to as warm as 15C not including wind chill factor. It could get quite strong winds. Where I live now, I don't think the concept of winter exists!

That is a sad thing ........cause you can't have snowball fights.....boooo .:cry:

Not where I live now Steph, but we do get snow south of here. And once it even snowed in Mackay, Central North Queensland (2005), which is a fair bit north of where I am now, but that was a freak weather event and in no way should be considered a normal thing. Now if we could just get the fly's to co-operate we could have flyball fights. ;)


Camping under a hutchi. That's the way to do it. But perhaps make sure you're locked in and tied down for the wet and windy if it hits. That way you and your mate would have to chase each other around in your undies during the night ;)

Yeah! Can ya imagine gettin' smacked in the face with one of those....HEY......All we need to do is squish the fly's up and roll 'em in a ball. I was trying to work out how to train 'em to hold a formation, but squished is far easier....
