Skydiving is overrated. Try rappelling and rock climbing.
Indoor even....
For goodness sake go to a big city -- If you only
sample an Italian meatball sandwich from a deli
across from the NYC Library just do it. Great museums
too... But, any "City" will do. NYC does not have a
lock on "city" but is is worth a stop on the way...
Motorbikes are over rated and the local nurses and
doctors call drivers without helmets something
that begins with a D. I have friends that ride hard and
race them but rent a Red Jaguar convertible and
take your girlfriend for a longish weekend drive/ holiday
first. I think that a ride in a 60's Red GTO convertible
might have been just as great a ride as the Jag.
My next stop... might be a long train ride through
the rockies.

Thanked: 1371This thread reminded me of:
Well, I've never been Greenland and I've never been to Denver, and I've never buried treasure in St. Louis or St. Paul, and I've never been to Moscow and I've never been to Tampa, and I've never been to Boston in
the fall.
...
I never hoist the mainstay and I never swab the poop deck, and I never veer to starboard 'cuz I never sail at all, and I've never walked the gang plank and I've never owned a parrot, and I've never been to Boston in the fall.
...
I've never plucked a rooster and I'm not too good at ping-pong, and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall, and I've never kissed a chipmunk and I've never gotten head lice, and
I've never been to Boston in the fall!
...
I've never licked a spark plug and I've never sniffed a stink bug, and I've never painted daisies on a big red rubber ball, and I've never bathed in yogurt and I don't look good in leggings ...

I have a whole list of things I want to do before I die:
1. Finish an Ironman Triathlon
2. Run a Marathon
3. Climb and summit a mountain over 14,000 feet
4. Earn my pilots license
5. See the Himalayas
6. Backpack though the Grand Canyon
7. Go white water rafting
8. See an active volcano
I have more but I just can't think of them right now. I actually started a list that I keep on my computer as a steady reminder of what my goals are. As for some of the things I've done:
1. Joined the military
2. Been SCUBA diving in Florida
3. Got Married
4. Became a Father
5. Climbed Pikes Peak but didn't summit due to weather
6. Been sky diving
Sky diving is worth it, it's the best rush and the most relaxing thing you will ever do I promise. I'm not making it up, it really is feeling like no other.

I have never been bungi jumping. I once lived half an hour from a bungi jumping site in Queensland, Australia, but never tired it. Now that I live in Thailand I wouldn't dare try it.

some of my goals just seem impossible for myself, like
A. travel to space (i would give almost ANYTHING)
B. go to the bottom of the ocean
some of the more practical goals of mine are
1. scuba certified (will be taken care of after this deployment)
2. learn a new language (irish gaelic)
3. B.A.S.E. jumping
4. cliff diving
for anyone who has skydiving on their list i highly reccomend doing it, it is awesome. also white water rafting is worth doing rappeling all great stuff.
