Thread: I have never...

So I was thinking this morning about things that I've always wanted to do but havent yet done, and I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys had a similar list in your minds.

I'll start:

- I've never skydived
- I've never been to New York
- I've never owned a motorbike

Those are three things that I've always wanted to do since I was very young, and I'm determined that I will do them soon..! As it happens, one of the guys I work with is an avid biker so he's been giving me loads of advice on that one..! Hehe!

There are things I've wanted to do and have been lucky enough to experience, like flying a Harrier jump jet and scuba diving in the Maldives. I even met Eric Clapton once, and that was pretty cool..!

So what are those things you've always wanted to do? And have you done them yet?

I started to write a list, then got depressed.... Oh cruel world!

It wasnt supposed to be depressing, just an idea of cool stuff people have done and the cool stuff they still want to do..!

I want to learn my bass guitar enough to play in my own garage band before I die. And I hope to one day live in the country preferably on a lake again also before I die. And I would like a boat...nothin beats cruisin around a lake on yer own boat !

I've never been to the UK and am dying to see it. I have access to a few motorbikes (Harley Davidsons), sky diving...your on your own. Maybe we can work something out......LOL

I have never been able to learn SPANISH.......I;ve wanted to speak another language since I'm a small boy. To this day, I sit every morning with Rosetta Stone and continue to try to learn.

Wow - my list is long as well.

But in keeping with what you started Stuart, I am going to go with my top 3 as well.

1. Never been to the UK and Ireland (yes I know Northern Ireland is part of the UK) and want to very badly.
2. Never owned my own restaurant and want to very badly.
3. Never fired a Thompson full auto with a 50 round drum magazine - and want to very badly.

Hmmm... lets see

1. Not just own a motorcycle.. but build it from scratch.
2. Skydiving/Bungee Jumping
3. Travel around the "other" continents and not be locked to North/South America, Mexico and Canada.

Have you tried taking lessons in person? For some people this works much better than self-study.

After putting it off for a long time, I started learning Japanese Last year. Given my time limitations I do it via self study, but I have a teacher who is making a course on learning Japanese and who is using me as his guinea pig. So while I learn through self study, I can always ask him questions in person. That helps.

1) I have never been rich. Want to be though.
2) Have never been to the U.K. Wales is where I want to be.
3) Have never owned my own business. Wouldn't know what I would want to run anyway.

Skydived never and not concerned either way.
Motorbikes are a daily mode of transport that I use and own.
Been to New York and it's just another big city. Nice though, as far as cities go.
