Thread: Gamers?

Howdy all,

I know we all pride ourselves on our classic love called straight shaving.


But I was wondering if there are any of you who have some more modern hobbies such as the world of online gaming.

I myself have PS3 and have been looking for some friendly competion.

Anyone else here enjoy video games as a passtime?

I have a Wii! And I just discovered the joy of softmodding it, so now I have all my games backed up onto a 500Gig usb drive, and can load them using that. Seems faster than the disks actually.

Sorry, no PS3 so I cannot play against you online. I am crap at games anyway, unless it is one of those games that rewards randomly mashing your fingers on the controls

I am a gamer, but with few exceptions I hate playing online (Left 4 Dead is ok, till it gets boring; the only other two are DotA and Heros of Newerth, but I quit both). There are too many angry children... they make me angry. I'm actually between games at the moment. Last one was Singularity. I'm thinking Metro 2033 next. I'd really like to play a driving game, like Dirt 2, but I use a wheel and pedals and it's too hot in the summer.

I am on the PS3 and 360 add me if you want GT rahimlee54. I am into a bunch of tech stuff, AV as well.

I play lots of sports games.

Mostly FIFA soccer. And I also play call of duty but I'm not good at that game at all.

Strictly PC gamer myself.

Newer games I play are UT3, ETQW and Warhammer 40.000 DOW II. Also play the new Alien Swarm online sometimes.

Anyone up for a friendly game or two just hit me up on STEAM. lxemergency or LX_Emergency should find my account.

For the majority I play older games, I like RTS games such as homeworld and the likes, also I quite happily play games where stuff goes boom, don't do much online, I did get slightly addicted to crossfire. However I am having to start expanding my game playing due to work. so am thinking along the lines of xbox or PS3, likely an xbox though.

FPS PC gamer! UT3 (warfare) when I can find populated US servers, MW2 when I can find "servers" with no hacks. One fun game with a small community. One broken game with a large community. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. You can also check out this older thread for other gamers.

LX: I play on some of the Euro UT3 servers for warfare. Usually either the Epic server or the UK Multiplay one. I don't have my UT3 activated on Steam but my UT3 name is also commiecat.

I game, but not much online. I'm orionsbow on ps3, I've got uncharted 2, Red Dead Redemption...they're online games but I've not tried them online. If anyone wants to try setting something up, I'd be down, if we can arrange the timezone thing.

I gotta be honest here. With the exception of Wii and PS3, i have no idea what you just said. I have no idea what xfire, steam or psn is, much less downloading a brd.

I play my son's PS3 from time to time but not online and i play the Wii as well.

How about a quick tutorial.
