Yes I was hoping there would be a few more around too. As far as boards go, I've bee falling more in love with pintails, but I'm trying to keep an open mind on the subject for now. When I know more, about the game and get back into the groove of boarding, I'll be able to make up my mind as to what will be the best next step...Pintails and mountain boards...

C'mon Longboarders let's get this thread moving .

Well, i LOVE my pintail, and highly recommend it
sadly, the longboarding season is done here in Minnesota, now that the snow has fallen.
Quite depressing really, 90% of my favorite activities come to a grinding halt during winter.
If i had money, id consider getting a snowboard. But its going to take months to get a spare 3-400 to blow on a board.

I once saw a few snowflakes...Haven't ever seen proper snowy conditions and the only real snow I saw in bulk was from the window of a moving vehicle, and it was just a patch of some sludgy looking brown stuff on the side of a hill in Wyoming.

Nothing uglier than a dirty snowbank in the spring!

Not much regular happening here. Seems like it's just me and Dual holding this common interest. Not too many other blokes either young enough, dumb enough or just older bikers hitting mid-life crisis for the second time around (I hit it when I was about 25 the first time ) to appreciate the joys of longboarding .

Can't you just take the wheels, axles and trucks off the longboard ?

And don't forget to wax! Moisture might ruin it for putting the trucks and wheels back on in summer!

Or how about making mini skis to replace the wheels with, if they were saddled onto a wheel bearing they would have a bit of give for the lumps and bumps.
    Or maybe mini snowmobile tracks.

lol, i could.. technicaly remove the trucks and wheels.
But the moisture would wreck the board.
Even waxing it wouldnt help, as it would get through the griptape and the holes for mounting the trucks.
They do make a board that stands up on ski's, but i cannot remember what they are called..

How bout some of you old farts go out and get a board.. then you can understand why we love it so much, then you could contribute to the thread
