This video for example gives me anxiety to watch, having ridden down this hill on my motorcycle and bicycle many times. Not sure the grade, but I've gotten up over 50mph on my bicycle descending it (wait for it, action starts at 2:30):

Those are the kind of runs I live for.
But sadly, we dont have anything that epic in Minnesota :'(

Have you found this site yet Silverfish Longboarding - Silverfish Longboarding - The Longboard Skateboard Community ? There's another SRP member over there as well, though he hasn't been active for a good while here. He uses the same user name there as he does here, Blix.

The 'fish' is good for the massive amounts of info and the people you can find in your own area...Or at least it has been for me. I've only been there a week and a bit and I've already found someone 20 minutes away keen to get to together for a run in his area and a few others further out that I might catch up with at some point. A bit like the SRP get togethers our members have.
