Those things would look like human fingers flying at you if you could see them!

That's a beefy round that looks like it would have tons of stopping power.

I have developed a lot of loads for it (several spreadsheets in Excel), but have three "go to" rounds. 300gr JHP by remington, 300gr barnes ballistic tip, and 405 gr SP by remington. If I were to recommend ANY AR-15 based rifle, it would be the .458 socom. I have four complete ar's (2-.223's, 1-7.62x39, & 1-.458 socom) and this is my fav.

I have a spare mesa tactical side saddle in a safe if you are interested...send pm if so...IMO it's the best on the market...errr...was about 6-months ago. DOn't know about now.

I'm with Alex - this thread is useless without pictures. (Mostly cause I know nothing about guns, so I have no idea what you all are on about.)

Actually a shapton is probably close in price to a box of some ammo out there so a tactical slingshot and a shapton 1K probably has plenty of stopping power-Har Har.

Seriously though we had some tactical shotguns in our agency that were custom modified 12 gauge wingmasters. Don't remember the outfit, something research and they shortened the barrel, changed the sights, changed the stocks added some recoil pads coated the weapon in some fancy compound and improved its accuracy and it was a mean machine. Probably as good a shooter as any 12 gauge can be.
