Well it's a sad day today, I just learned that Naomi Judd passed away. She was 76--God Rest--
I saw their first good bye show, they had a guy by the name of Garth Brooks open for them :dropjaw:

I've been listening to a bit of 1960s UK jazz recently. This one stands out in particular.
The New Jazz Orchestra, "Study."

Still prefer the original Gordon Lightfoot version.

Yep. Great song. I couldn't be happy unless I had that in my music collection. I've got his Best Hits.

OK, I do have the Highway Song. Carefree Highway.
But I don't have his album "Solo". That is where you find
Oh so sweet.
I guess I got to start looking now.
They were both earworms today I had to get it out of my system.

My buddy in Basic, AIT, and then after, from Cleveland, used to play the hell out of this record in the barracks (1971). Seems like we were always restricted to the Company Area, for one reason or another... especially on the weekends. Beer, BS, double-deck pinochle, and plenty of R&B. RIP, Steve E.
Archie Bell & The Drells -- "Tighten Up"

I used to strut my funky stuff to this back in the day.
Sound to light under the dance floor, ein grosse bier bitte at the bar, good clubs in Paderborn, sqauddies where even allowed in some.

Just discovered Fripp and Toyah. He is a great guitar player and she is a nut. They seem to cover everything. In the kitchen?

Have had this in my head, but not because of the current mess in Ukraine. It's the theme for Tim Hunkin's wonderful "The Secret Life of Machines". It's on YouTube if you're curious.

You know, I've heard that a lot of times but I had know idea it was called "The Russians Are Coming"!
Excellent music.
Heard this to-day. Never saw the video.. Some gender-searchers in '78? Nothing changes.
Nice tune I think.

I used to listen to The Nolans all the time.
I got my car broken into one night and they took my radio, suprised really as it was fitted into my glove compartment.
The thief actually took my Nolans tape out and put it in its case, I guess he wasn't a fan.

I'm streaming WUCF Jazz Orlando;

The show "Alan Rock's Weekend Jazz Extravaganza" is a fun show. This show airs every Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM - Noon Eastern. Alan tells corny jokes between sets of classic Jazz, and ask "General" trivia questions every hour. The last trivia question, "What woman is credited with founding Father's Day?"
You can Google these of course, but it's more fun to guess. Alan tells you the answer at the end of his show.
Now I have to decide what my SOTD will be this morning to go with the streaming Jazz.
You need something smooth and mellow Bill.
Maybe you would like this.

I WOULD LOVE THAT! I just hit the website and its available. So it's being ordered. THANKS STEVE! That's perfect for me. I'm a Jazz Aficionado. 95 percent of my music listening is Jazz. What soap and aftershave could be more perfect? Maybe a "HorsePlayer" soap and aftershave...... as long as it doesn't smell like a horse barn. :)
Too soft for me!
