Is it just me, or does the staging of Spring here remind anyone else of Clockwork Orange? Something about the light...

Taste in music... Hmm depends on my mood
Anything from Belphegor to Yanni to They might be Giants and anything in between...
Yanni, really, Yanni? I too listen to music of all types dictated by mood. But, for the life of me, I don't recall ever being in a Yanni mood! LOL. Hey, whatever floats your boat!! Next time your in a Yanni mood, I say, go for it, enjoy, crank it up to 11!
I see that yesterday we lost another musician, Ray Manzarek, keyboard artist and one of the founding members of the Doors.

It's kind of a beer night tonight here in Ottawa. Mine's a Blanche de Chambly, a beautiful Quebecois Weissbier. Cheers!

I just got a new truck with 6 months "free" Sirious" radio. I certainly won't renew the subscription but I am surprised that the best channel is the 1940's one. I am going to have to investigate that more.
Would you call this punk? I would. I like The Jesus and Mary Chain a lot lately...
I might watch this five, no, wait. Six more times...

Lots of really fuzzy loud guitars overlaid on lots of really fuzzy loud guitars...
The sun comes up another day begins
And I don't even worry about the state I'm in
Head so heavy and I'm looking thin
But when the sun goes down I wanna start again
You're never understanding
You're never understanding me

But that's the way that you are
And that's the things that you say
But now you've gone too far
With all the things you say
This band is really reminding me of my youth, late '70s early '80s with the drinking and stuff. Weekends were spent 'accessing' the Auctioneer's storage facility where my mate worked playing with all the stuff up for auction; 'driving' E type Jags, two feet forward and two back (because it was parked tightly in a line with other goods cars for sale in a garage). We spent one weekend tearing the tyres off Bob Cat earth moving equipment in the parking lot, shot the heads off store mannequins with 12 gauge shotguns in the basement, spent whole days playing Crush Roller and Galaxian, and quite a large amount of drugs...Which was bad and naughty...

Got a pile of stuff on my mp3 but my favourites are probly love, Leonard cohen, flaming lips and grandaddy.
I remember buying the vinyl LP of Psychocandy back in the 80's during my Black Flag Husker Du Joy Division Bay has days. My friends and I referred to them as bubblegum punk: like Husker Du, they wrote melodic songs that were infectious and catchy, buried under a beautiful layer of distorted guitars. And yet the goths appropriated them as well ("I'm Happy When It Rains").
I just realized how much I miss that album.
It's a laid back kind of Sunday afternoon here, so here's a laid back Sunday afternoon kind of song. Have a good one, folks. :)
