Gotta love some Op Ivy! "I don't want no war going down, going down tonight"
I found this very interesting and well worth the watch!
A harmonica in Carnegie Hall. [VIDEO]
The harmonica ain't no toy. There have been several very serious pieces of music written for it.
That was
I have been...um...I mean I know people who have been patrons of "gentleman's clubs" the world over and never seen one that didn't have this song.
DEF LEPPARD - 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' (Official) - YouTube
On a more serious note, its not every day you see a drummer in a rock band with only one arm. My hat's off to Rick Allen, most people would have given up but he just made a few adjustments to his drum set and kept rockin'. Without question it took a lot of guts.
Tonight I'm suffering from a common Canadian condition: Hip on the brain.
"If I die of vanity, promise me, promise me
If they bury me some place I don't want to be
You'll dig me up and transport me, unceremoniously
Away from the swollen city breeze, garbage bag trees
Whispers of disease, acts of enormity
And lower me slowly and sadly and properly
Get Ry Coonder to sing my eulogy
At the hundredth meridian"

You know this is an old video. Steven Tyler looks like he's only been dead a month or so.
Aerosmith - Dream On (Subtitulos Espaņol) HQ - YouTube
PS: The Classic Rock Station on Pandora ROCKS! How's This for a set: Aerosmith Dream On, Led Zepplin Over the Hills and Far Away, Bachman Turner Overdrive Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, The Who- Who are You?, AC/DC Back in Black, Aerosmith Sweet Emotion. Pretty damn sweet tunes for sure! Oh wait, there's two Aerosmith tunes so I guess in Boston that would be "Wicked Pissah"
I'm a couple of days late with these.

Videos are nice but they substitute their imagination for mine. I have to close my eyes and listen.

New Iron and Wine.
The first time I heard this song, I couldn't help but notice it was beautiful but there was something very familiar about it. It took me a while to figure it out but this is an Italian version of Everybody Hurts by REM. Paul Potts is a fantastic singer

Love this record
I'm finally winning the battle against a cold that has laid me low since the middle of last week, so it's the kind of laid-back Sunday afternoon where some good music can't help but be good for the soul. I love Dave's music, but as someone who occasionally dabbles on the guitar, I have to say that he plays some truly evil chords. Enjoy everyone, and have a great week!

John Zorn - Naked City
Johhny Cash - Grave
I listened to The Trout by Schubert last night on youtube. I found a video that had German and English subtitles. Cool story. A funny sidenote-my washing machine plays this when the load is done washing. It took us months to figure out what the song was(slap to forehead goes here).
Ever since I met the fetching Mrs. GI 30+ years ago this song has been very special to me. On a less sentimental note, these are two cats I never pictured on the stage together but they pull off a beautiful song in fine fashion
Lionel Richie & Kenny Chesney -* My Love - MGM Red Carpet 5 - YouTube
You beat me to it. I was just about to post that exact same link. One of the best pieces of improv in rock/folk history IMHO.
I've been on a bit of a Pearl Jam kick this week. Absolutely love Eddie's reaction at around 3:45 :)

I remember when this came out. A young kid that worked for me asked if I'd seen the new Pearl Jam video. I said no and he said there was some "old guy" jamming with the band. Later when I had seen the video. I just had to point out that the "old guy" in question wrote that song when Eddie was still attached to the teat :)
