Thanks Roy. She is a very strong lyricist for certain.
The Kitchen Table, also a surprise at the concert, was written for her grandmother who recently went ahead. Moved my wife, and most of the congregation very much.
Appreciate your comments, showed Erin, and it made her night.
Cheers..
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fright!

I've had "Mother" in my head for about a week now. Just thought I'd share two versions of my current earworm. :)

I think I actually like this version with Sinead better (helps to have Garth, Levon and Rick from The Band backing you up!). What an amazing but troubled artist - it would be nice if she could find some peace.

I"m fixing some peanut brittle and listening to the 1938 Benny Goodman Live at Carnegie Hall. I'm looking forward to the live version of this as it's 12+minutes long. Damn was Krupa years ahead of his time!
A little Sing Sing Sing for you. I hope you will enjoy

We were listening to some songs from when we grew up, not the Zeppelin, Stones, Aerosmith, Ac /DC side, more tonight on the 80's bar music we used to hear and dance to if you went out.
So we were trying to think of a song, found it, then found the song in a video for a movie.
Two things, I don't remember this movie, and I certainly had forgot that Jennifer Connelly was in other movies than, "A Beautiful Mind"....gulp.

Metal! Loud and screaming. Ripping Guitars and bone crushing drums. Some of the fastest hands I've found Dragon Force! Youtube it.
I admit, most people freak when they hear what I listen to. But its ok with me. I've always known I was different.
Happy Christmas everyone ;)

While Christmas has passed I heard this on the re-run of a radio show on Rockabilly Radio yesterday. I emailed the disc jockey and he sent me a link to listen to it again. Funny as all Holy Hell. You might remember the original tune:

Andrew Bird, "Break it Yourself."
Everytime i listen to this Song i wonder how Annie might look? Hopefully like Betty, i wish i could look into the songwriters mind when he wrote it.

Well my Brother In Blades since we're on Slade, here's one with Noddy dressed as I remember him.
And YES! Slade did this tune FIRST! I believe if I dig I can find at least 3 Slade Albums.

Wow!!!!! Slade!!!!!
Boy does that bring back memories!
College...frat parties...just look at that special girl and say:
Do we still do it?
Thanks for the memories!
Pete <:-}
You guys are obviously younger than me. Good stuff.
Singing like that, he likely did not last long! ;)
So you must have been a huge Zeppelin fan then eh Tom????

Slade only had a brief appearance here in the states, however they had over 40 hits in the UK and Europe. About Noddy's voice. When Bon Scott of AC/DC died Noddy was asked to become the lead singer. He declined due to his loyalty to Slade.
And there you have the rest of the story. :w
Not so much Zepplin back then. More into BTO and whatever it took for the girls......
For the GIRLS??? Hell I used to just get out my Big 10 inch-----------------------------Record of my favorite blues.
I've posted this before but it's still a good live performance:

I'll check out the interview, I know that he had purchased his top hat from a street vender whose name was Freddie and Freddie told Noddy that some day 'He' was going to be a rock star and Noddy told him to F---Off as it wouldn't happen. The vender was later known as Freddie Mercury.
Oh by the way your about the same age as my younger brother. 'Kid' :w:
Blues Jam at Chess/Fleetwood Mac In Chicago/Blues Jam In Chicago Vols. 1 & 2 was the result of a recording session in early 1969, at Chess Records in Chicago (home to Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, et al.) with Fleetwood Mac, then a young British blues band, and a number of famous Chicago Blues artists from whom they drew inspiration.
