I just got done listening to the Dixie Chicks from about 1 1/4 mile away. Not bad. If you didn't know the words they were hard to make out. I live about that far from the grandstands of the Minnesota state fairgrounds!:rofl2:
The Beatles, full "Help" album. Ideal for working in the garden!
As I grow (just a little bit, mind) older, I'm starting to listen even more for melodic music rather than the noisy stuff I used to listen to in the days long gone by. The Beatles fit that perfectly. They've always been around in my life, so I forgot to appreciate the pure brilliance of a lot of what they made.
Just came back in from some hot & humid (for here, anyway) puttering in the workshop. Now it's time to take it easy with a bit of Tom.

Never was a Sinatra fan when I was young, but my Mother had him playing on the old Victrola all day in the house. This gets ingrained in a young man, and I now see the "Chairman of The Board" in a much different light.
An old memory ..

Well everyone has to start somewhere. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmie Hendrix, Glen Miller, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters etc;
None of them just walked out as an adult and played like they are remembered. Check these young guys out:

I'm listening to a Calexico show on the Live Music Archive. If you aren't familiar with the site there are thousands of shows shared, all with the approval of the bands. https://archive.org/browse.php?colle...&field=creator
I listen to a wide variety of music, anything from blue grass to heavy metal and I admire all musicians. This one is no exception. Vince played here and it was a great show by a very talented man.
I chose this clip as it gives a little background about him and maybe a little surprise as to who wanted him to play in what band.
I hope all will enjoy.

From one of my favorite shows, The Detectorists, about a group of eccentric people, great character study, who go about metal detecting, as TV only the BBC can do.
