I've been missing Scotland, one of my homes away from home, terribly lately, and have been on a bit of a nostalgic trip tonight. Runrig, Silly Wizard, and finally Coelbeg.

I've been reading Remembered for a While, a family-centered "companion" to the music of Nick Drake, and appreciated it very much. So this led me to pick of the "Tuck Box," more or less serving as his complete works, to sort of listen to as I read. Great stuff.

Clash, Clash and more Clash!!!
I had a hankering for something 'silly or different' but still a nice listen that would bring back some childhood memories.
I hope all will enjoy.

Now this is not for everyone. Hard metal. One of the great guitarist in the world. Its hard to listen to unless you are used to this stuff. Old guys don't listen, if you do you wont for long! ha.

Judas Priest indeed rocks. British Steel!! Lately, I've been listening to lots of classic Rush. They were one of the first rock bands I really got into (along with AC/DC and Queen)...nearly wore out "Moving Pictures!"
Anyone here like Bad Brains? Man, those guys blew my mind when I first heard "I Against I."

H.R. has gone down hill. Mentally.
Cream. Wheels of Fire.
Hadn't heard of Bad Brains. They got some solid music. Almost like a mix of three type of music. Not bad at all. Thanks for sharing.
1973 Soundtrack to Arthur Johns's short film Solar Flares Burn for You from 1972-74. The soundtrack, which starts around forty seconds in, was by Robert Wyatt of Soft Machine and Matching Mole fame.

Metal Cartoon. The band Dethklok. A bit adult.
Check out this article, Gasman. Bad Brains influenced a number of rock bands with their intoxicating fusion: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/b...m-30-years-ago
Mentioned in the article is the lead singer Angelo Moore of the band, Fishbone. I had the brilliant luck of picking up this fun-loving cat at Sea-tac for my mountain biking friend's 2nd annual Rainforest Fat Tire Festival held near Port Angeles, WA. I've never met such a talented musical artist in all my life as this guy, and he was like a wide-eyed child in adult's clothing. They got him on fat tires on the beginner course, and he had the time of his life. He did some spoken-word poetry by the fire one night and belted out some tunes on his mini, enameled saxophone. They nearly got the entire band up there for airline fare, but one of the band members vetoed...however Angelo was all-in!
You should have seen his arrival in Seattle. He wore a full-length safety orange prison jumpsuit accompanied with a full top hat, cane, and black military boots. Practically everyone in the terminal swiveled their heads his way. :rofl2:

Icom 706 ham radio
Bet you are not hearing much on that 706. I've been scanning the bands for a few hours with my 706MKG2 and Yaesu FT1000MP and worked only three DX stations. Conditions suck! And if you consider I'm using a 3 element SteppIR, I normally hear lots. We will have to work some day!
