I grew up in Northern Michigan and miss the country terribley bad. So envious of you.Years ago I had the opportunity to go up to Cour D'elane ...gorgeouse up that way. What I wouldn't give to get out of the cursed city and be a country boy again. sigh ! will ya grind some beans for me mentally please ?

I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and your pictures remind me how much I miss it. Southern California just doesn't do it for me. I think I may have to retire somewhere where the local wildlife is more like yours. It wouldn't hurt to have a local trout stream either...
