Thanked: 13249Seeing this out your front window !!!
As most of you know I live in the Boonies of North Idaho, and yes the winters are sometimes a ton of work, but mornings like these make it worthwhile..
I was in the kitchen grinding some coffee beans, I looked out as it got lighter this morning and was greeted by this sight...
We have been here 8 1/2 years and have never seen this before, we see Moose Elk and Deer but have never seen any of them together... Look close in there because there is a Mama deer with her twins, and a Bull Moose all standing in the front yard

I envy you but I'm glad I don't have to mow the lawn.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Wow! Living in such great place, you need to invest in a 300 mm lens. I got this shot right next to a house in a fairly urban area of NH. (Yes, NH has urban areas). She just stood there, glanced at me and went back to grazing.

Thats a great place you live. Animals aren't scared of your neighborhood as they get so close. That is great.
Elks and Deers are very common here, almost a risk to traffic. Those can be seen every now and then passing by, but i've never seen these together like you did.
Few times we've got scared like hell when being on a forest with dogs and seeing and/or hearing elk family too close. Occasionally we have wolves and bears but seeing those animals usually starts a hunt; they shouldn't get too familiar with human settlements but stay away in the forest.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
