I see they've brought out a new Alvis in the 1930's style but it costs £170.000!

I had a 1962 VW Bug w/ a larger 1498 cc, single-port, engine installed. I miss it and, although most of the things that needed to be adjusted were fairly easy and done by me, the more involved jobs req'd people w/ the experience who lived far away. Sadly, todays cars are overly engineered & thus not designed to be worked on by the owner for the most part.

Nice car! I had a 78 240D for several years. Drove it daily until some woman broadsided me in a snow storm. Otherwise I think it would have ran forever.

Yep, sedan. Purchased in March of 2006, and I am the second owner. My wife bought me the Dice and bobble head doll on the rear package tray, they did not come with the car. Otherwise, all original, even the spare tire.

    1st car was a 67 Mustang with a 200 6 cyl. 2nd was a 69 Cougar Eliminator. Should have kept the latter.

    Thumbs up

Nope, but an old friend, Deacon Miller, had a 1931 Stutz Monte Carlo. One of three made in that model year. As I remember it had two interchangeable differentials: one for cruising and one for climbing. With the "mountain" differential intalled Deacon won a Pike's Peak climb. That was one sharp car.

Oh heck yeah you should have.

My first car was a '67 Cougar -- 289 cid, automatic (grandparents were the original owners), factory A/C. Still have it under wraps in the driveway but it needs to be restored. Again.

It was always fun meeting people who knew what type of car it was and they were always quite passionate car enthusiasts. Most people liked the way it looked and often asked "Is that a Mustang?"

For obvious sentimental reasons that's my all-time favorite car. After that I really love the Eliminators and the GTO Judge from the same era.

This is from Google, but my car was quite similar. White body, red/black pin stripes, black vinyl top, Cragar S/S wheels, white letter tires:
