It was always fun meeting people who knew what type of car it was and they were always quite passionate car enthusiasts. Most people liked the way it looked and often asked "Is that a Mustang?"

For obvious sentimental reasons that's my all-time favorite car. After that I really love the Eliminators and the GTO Judge from the same era.

This is from Google, but my car was quite similar. White body, red/black pin stripes, black vinyl top, Cragar S/S wheels, white letter tires:

Only made the eliminator for 2 years. This link is a 1970, but mine was a 1969 the exact color and previous owner installed a shaker hood scoop on it. Mine had the 351 Windsor engine. Man I miss that car.

Yep. I love the 67/68 Cougars, 69/70 Eliminators and 69/70 Judges. Those Windsor and Boss engines were really something. My online nick was originally "Cougar" back in the BBS days -- that has a whole new meaning now, though.

My ol' man bought me a few trinkets related to those cars because they're not easily found. Here's my model '67 XR-7, a mini '69 Eliminator, and my Kinfolks Ace:

I had a '73 MG B GT. Unfortunately I had to let it go, loved that car.

I think if you're patient when you buy, and spend time servicing it before you really use it, classic car ownership doesn't have to be a nightmare, it helps if you can weld all the same! That's in my top 5 'to-dos' - learn to weld! I would be much more confident about buying older cars then.
