    Default A family matter.

Today, I received a life changing call.
My wife and I have been trying to have kids for a long time, but sadly, that is not possible.
As a result of that, we started looking at alternatives.
We finally decided to look into being certified as a foster home.
Last fall we enlisted to a course to be just that.

It was a very interesting and eye-opening experience. I had never thought about how many kids there are out there who suffers in bad homes and faces lots of challenges in their everyday life.
We have been eagerly awaiting any news, and today it finally came
It seems that our family of 2 just doubled!
We have been given the great responsibility and honor to be the new family for 2 siblings. Ages 5 and 8. A boy and a girl!
They are gonna be with us until they are adults, as ruled by the courts.
This is indeed a humbling and joyous day!

Anyways, I just had to tell you guys about it
    Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Congratulations! That is indeed a life changing call.
I wish your, wife and your two children - because you are now parents (being a father or a mother is not, necessarily, "making" kids...) - all the best.

Congratulations!!!! My family served as a foster family for 7 years during which time we cared for many young boys and girls. Some for only a few weeks others for upwards of a year, in the end my mother and father ended up adopting 5 of the children that were placed with us. It is great that you are going to change the life of those two kids. Obviously foster children often come from hard situations and I am sure they have a brighter future now that they are part of your family. Also you might want to start shopping around for a straight razor for the boy to use as soon as he's old enough to shave

I feel you are most deserving of a hip hip hooray!!

Birnando, congratulations to you and your wife. More importantly, you should be commended for taking on such a tremendous responsibility. As one who has been going through similar struggles trying to start our family, I can sympathize with what you have endured, and I am very happy to hear that you have found such a wonderfully rewarding way to overcome the obstacle life placed in your way.

I wish you and your newly enlarged family much joy and happiness!

    Congratulations. What a joyous day

The kids will now be in a loving home with people who will let them enjoy being a child and give them the love that every child deserves.

Best of luck to you and your wife as well as the little one's.
