Thanked: 18Anyone on FP?
Hi everybody:
I'm happy writing with fountain pen.
Some years ago i had a Parker 75 Ecossais but i lost her somewhere.
Now I've just replaced it with a NOS 75 Cisele.
Life is good!

Yea! Fountain pens. My father gave me all his fountain pens in the early 1970s when I went to college. Parkers, Sheaffers. I used one Parker all the way thru college. I finally dropped it too many times, or lost it or something. Now, 34 years later I am using my second fountain pen.
They last forever, eh? And, I've got about 4 or 5 more fountain pens of my fathers in a cup above my head on a shelf. I think I might be looking for more fountain pens in about 150 years!

Thanked: 18Fountain pens are things of beauty. I can't stop buying them. I'm at three dozen and counting.

I carry one pretty much every working day. I have a Dunhill AD 2000 in my pocket right now.

Thanked: 1262I have a Lamy Safari. I purchased it with the idea that I wanted to start writing a journal
To my wife's chagrin(the journal was a wedding day present), it has been 369 days and no entries.

I like writing with a FP. However I stopped using one as on most paper the ink spreads too much to suit my handwriting: an o becomes a dot and an e becomes an inverted comma. I think this is due to the paper that's available here. It absorbs the ink straightaway.

I have two that I use, a Sheaffer and a Pelikan.
Like Kees, I find that much of the current paper is not made for fountian pen use, envelopes in particular. Or maybe I just need to stop being a cheap skate and purchase envelopes somewhere other than the grocery!

I have been looking to get a Fountain Pen. Any suggestions?
I have a Montblanc roller ball that I love but can afford to get a FP from them. I would like something that looks the same.
