wow man that was pretty gross lol. unless its pork fat or fish fat it kinda creeps me out, i do cook meats with all the fat but i remove it before i eat it. gross gross gross

No joke, when I lived in Brazil, we'd go out to eat with our native friends and they always would ask the americans if they were going to finish the chunks of fat left on their plates. They LOVED it and would grab it from your plate and chew it down. I am a fan of fat... but I'd usually prefer nice marbling to a chunk of gristle. But I say go for it.

Hey victor im from pa as you know and we love our fat, Try to track down some lard(pigs fat) to fry stuff in. we make our own at butchering time and we have gallons of the stuff in frides it makes a crappy cut of meat tast good if cook in it, But that steak makes me hungury so thanks alot now i gott go out nad fry up some bacon and have a late night snack.

I also have tubs of bacon fat and duck fat in the fridge Oooo AAhhh!!! serious drool going on :P

Most of the Prime Rib you get around here has that nice hunk of melt in your mouth fat. Don't people know that is where the flavor comes from.. yum.
I wish I could find duck fat around here.. can't even find duck to purchase either.. guess I will have to find an online vendor.

One of my favorite things to do with duck fat is use it to make sugar cookies. The ultimate shortening. Right up there with goose fat.
