Thanks for sharing this. Damn it is huge. We have those at the neighborhood every now and then. They look nice although i wouldn't want to meet any when driving with my car.
My wife has been scared several times when walking with the dogs at the nearby forest and suddenly found herself watching a couple of moose within few meters. Usually you can hear when they are moving but sometimes they just stand still and then there's a risk of getting too close. They surely don't do anything but being too close they surely look huge.

I love when they stick their head behind a tree, and think you can't see them because they can't see you LOL
Last Monday night there was a teenager curled up next to that small tree in the front yard when the wife and I got home. As we drove up I kept saying "What is that in the yard" ??? Then when we got to the circle part of the driveway she stood up, all legs hehehe

wow, that was great, and all we have here in wv is some white tail deer, and black bears, after watching that, those both seem kinda lame

How cool Glen! We too only have white tail deer that come to the yard to decimate the hydrangeas and lilies in the summer and white oak acorns in the fall.

Thanks for posting, Glen. It is great to be reminded of this beautiful country we live it. Being an urban/suburban dweller doesn't afford me the opportunity of such a great view.
Happy New Year!

Wow Glen, that is awesome. I'm just curious; why are you so afraid of a 1200 lb animal? Your buff and well trained.

You very own Bullwinkle ! Driveway ? In north NJ that much snow would shut the whole area down for days. Cool vid Glen, I'm a city boy so never saw such wonders close up and personal.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

It's what's for dinner...
Nice, Glen.
A few yrs back I took the bike on a tour over Lolo pass - further south from you. On the Idado side, there were the normal signs warning of deer. 'Stood the bike on it's nose a couple of times. As you passed over to the Montana side, the warning signs were graphics of Moose. Coming back through the Sawtooth Mtns in the southern part of the state, the signs warned of Bighorn Sheep. 'Didn't see moose or sheep, but it was a wonderful ride through beautiful country.
My area has deer most days. 4 times, elk, a few bobcat, and the normal coyote. For you city dwellers - it makes up for the extra work of rural living. Power outages, snow-clogged roads, 8-10 mile drives to the nearest store, etc.
