Thread: Ever Have One of Those Evenings?

Ever have one of those evenings where everything was right with the world? After an Easter Dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage (I know, it's a St. Patricks day meal but the fetching Mrs. GI said that's what she wanted for Easter dinner so I made it) we retired to the lanai very full and very satisified, I enjoyed a wonderful pipe full of Old Joe Krantz and a sudden afternoon tropical rain began to fall. We sat on the porch dry and full and watched the rain fall and listened to the distant thunder. An hour or so later, the rain stopped as suddenly as it started. A cardinal stopped by to say hello. A wonderful evening indeed.

Sounds like a pleasant evening indeed! Those don't happen often enough!

That does sound pretty cool. I can identify a bit; I'm up at the cottage for easter weekend (yes, we have internet here...) and I got up this morning and the air was still, the lake was like glass, and I'm just finishing my first cup of very strong coffee. The day has indeed begun on a high note.
