Thanked: 1185I never thought I would EVER be one of those old codgers that ran around talking about "the good ole days" but the fact is if you're a child of the 60's, 70's or 80's (and I am) you're living in an entirely different world than you grew up in.
My son said to me one day, "Dad, you're the only person I know that still wears a wristwatch." I replied, "Well Son, my Dad always told me that a good man always knows what time it is so, I've pretty much worn a watch every day of my life since I was old enough to tell time." To which he replied, "My generation knows what time it is, we just don't wear watches, we use cell phones instead." Now the list of things I absolutely REFUSE to do is pretty short but carry a cell phone is probably firmly entrenched somewhere between Eat Liver and shave with an electric razor. He was quite surprised when a week or two later I bought a pocket watch.The older I get, the better I was
