Thanked: 1185A better air freshner was never made than bread baking. It just makes the whole house smell fantastic. I'm with you, Brother, nothing in the world beats fresh baked bread with butter melting on it. Which reminds me, it might just be time for me to bust some sourdough.

Hooo, man... that sounds good.
I had forgotten to mention that my fridge went on the blink yesterday. Called the landlord, but nothing can be done until Tues, so.... since the freezer is still working and making ice in the automatic ice maker I'm keeping the perishables cold in the meat drawer and crispers with ice from the freezer. Kinda like that ice box that granny used.
Seems like covering many generations in this thread.

My 28 year old son used to always make fun of me with the music I used to listen to when he was 14 or 15 and of course he felt very "with it" with his music. I told him back then you just wait. Now he knows cause kids around 15 or so make fun of him and ask him how he can listen to that old trash.

We've gotten into watching channel 33.2 a WB station called Antenna TV. All the oldies on there, Stooges, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, My Favorite Martian, Hazel, The Monkeys, Dennis The Menace, and the list goes on and on. All the old Westerns to. And channel 33.3 is pretty much all old B-rate movies, some pretty good stuff, right ?

I wish somebody would invent a fob for a cellphone then. I keep forgetting I've got one and I keep losing the darn thing. It makes my kids laugh that much harder when I have to get on the landline and call myself just so I can find my phone.
I first got the feeling I might not be a spring chicken anymore years ago when the "devil music" I listened to as a teenager had gotten relegated to the elevator music/bargain bin forgotten in the back of most music stores. Today the stuff that bugged my parents is about as threatening as a yawning kitten.
Nowadays it's hard just to find a music store. My kids think that's amazing too.

Thanked: 198i get a feeling of retrobution when i see my 15 year old daughter beginning to like music that i fell in love with back in the early 80's the only problem was the bands came out of the late 60's, so does that make me old, or her wiser, hmm something to think about there. Lori, dont feel to old, my 14 yo daughter just fell in love the the tv show Quincy, that is what i would consider the grandfather to all the CSI's so what goes around comes around.

Hahahaha! I love Quincy! Your daughter has good taste. I have a friend that is a real forensic investigator. She likes the shows but thinks of them more as science fiction because it's not as easy as they make it look. Some of the gizmos they use don't even exist. Quincy is probably closer to the reality. Less hocus pocus and more thought.
I don't really feel all that bad about my age but it does get annoying at times. I've already warned my oldest son that he is not auctioning me off on Ebay as an antique. My patina isn't good, not all of my parts are original and my provenance is questionable.
