I would think iron sights could be added to any rifle by a competent gunsmith.

Wow, I had no idea... When did that come about? That makes for an easy target for a thief. If I was a thief I would just look for people under 21.. Ii know they are not packing...

With irons I can usually get roughly 1" groups at 100 yards. Oh and I hit the 40 year nose dive my freshman year of high school, one eye's -3.5 and the others -4.7. I was able to put this on the backburner after I found a bunch of 7.62x54r for real cheap and school got real expensive. Thanks for the help guys
I am partial to Tikkas. Reasonably priced and the come with nece triggers.

i wish I could say I had 20/20, I actually very near sighted. Even with contacts I only see at 20/30 or 20/40. I just enjoy shooting around with irons. Of all my rifles I only have glass on a .308 Remington 700.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

ive got a few guns all my shotguns are the bb at the end, my 303 brit is iron sights (thats my bear gun) and my 30-06 remington 76 sportsman has the glass on it i cant shoot at deer withoutthe help of a scope. where we hunt bear at the farthest shot would be 75 yrd and a bear is an easy target at that yardage.

IT stinks when your arms get too short. I went from 20/10 vision to needing trifocals in the span of about 3 years. My eyes started going South when I turned 50. That was 10 years ago.

Peep sights help a bunch. I do miss lining up the sights on my 03 or my flinter and laying 'em in where you wanted to.

I find that age makes it harder to see the sights and target at the same time in the dim light of a range.

That's why I love my Bushnell Red Dot. The hologram and target are both in focus.
