    As a kid I always wanted a whip but my parents told me that I'd probably put my eye out. Now I am at the age where, although I still want a whip, I know for a fact that I'd probably put my eye out. Still would be fun though.

    well i have just been practicing getting the proper forum and whip crack because it has been a a few years since i used a whip.
    I plan to just do some target whipping for heck of it.

    I remember, years ago when I worked as a wild animal tamer at the circus after a long hot day whipping the creatures we's get together with the folks on the carny side and get out our whips and speedos and...err...

    The working stockmen I have spoken to in Australia have all said that kangaroo leather is the best leather for whips. Kangaroos don't sweat so the leather is finer grained and doesn't have pores in it which makes it a more supple leather but with very good tensile strength.
