Default Baseball, Truly one of the finer things in life.

I know I'm going to be attacked and maligned for this. I know for many sports enthusiasts its all about football or basketball or soccer or even hockey. But baseball truly is the essence of life in our universe as we know it. I know for some of you its a boring game. I would venture to say that's because you truly don't understand all of the tiny incredible nuances of the game. Every pitch a dozen chess games being played out.
I live in a desert. The summers are hot and long but baseball makes it bearable. That, an occasional good cigar, a straight razor shave in the morning and grandkids.

That could be said about a number of sports really. For me baseball means absolutely nothing, as it's not a sport we have here.

I can't stand watching MLB, but love helping coach my girls. Now rugby, that I'm all in. Loosehead prop here. Go Flatlanders!

I'm with you 100% Grumpy 61. I can understand a Baseball game better than anything else sometimes. The greatest game ever played on a field of grass.

    I agree, JC/DC!

I might add one to your list, GOLF! (just my humble opinion)

I'd like to know more about that game of Rugby. Its not played all that much in the US. I know some people try to compare it to our American football but they're two completely different games. Some people try to compare baseball to cricket but again, two completely different games.

Robin Williams does a routine about golf that's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it I'd recommend trying to find it on Youtube. That's what golf does to me. But I do understand, I know a lot of people that love that game.

Well, dang. I was going to say you could come to a game if you wanted to learn more. It's a fast paced, non stop game. Violent like football (even more so) and non stop action like soccer or basketball. I love it. Here's our website: http://www.flatlanderrugby.com/
I'm in the front row of the green and yellow on the far side. You can barely see my nose and hand in the picture.

Again getting ready to scrum. I'm on the far side again. My face is right by the sir's shoulder.
