That cant be true or i would be pushing the chicks away! lol I don't think i have a limb that isn't scared from a knife or burn or scrape or some sorta accident.
I'm some what... accident prone...... *thinks* what harm can come from shaving with straight razors? lol
Although, the older I'm getting the less accident prone i seem to be.
@ Deerhunter1995 I had my left index finger re attached when i was younger and its works fine, cut it off straight through the knuckle and i have an awesome scar from the cut and from the pin that held it back in place. You will be back at it in no time, and now you will have a story to tell!

Sorry to hear about your accident, and I wish you all the best. I don't know how comfortable you'd be with it, but it may be worthwhile to say what happened, what you may have done wrong, or what other circumstances caused the accident. This may help someone learn how to avoid a similar injury. In any event, wishing you a full recovery.

Thanked: 1936How in the world did the grinder jump? Did you have it in a bind or something? I had my middle and ring finger removed at the first joint and had to have a bit of reconstructive surgery. Everything worked out fine, but the cold weather really hurts like the dickens. Once the cast is off, follow the therapist's advice and you should get the mobility back within reason. This happened to me a bit over 20 years ago...medicine has come a long ways, so you should recover quite well.

I agree with the therapist comment, they know what they are doing. It also helps if you work on your therapy as often as possible. I walked around squeezing a bean bag in my hand for a long, long time. Once healed, the more you use your injured hand, the faster it will strengthen and get back to normal or as close as possible. If I did not point it out, you would not know there was a problem with my hand.

Thanked: 1My father-in-law all but cut off several of his fingers on a table saw. He now is as right as rain, his only lingering effect is a lack of feeling in the tip of one of the fingers.
Thanks for no gory pic. My F-i-L was not so discreet.
Good luck and quick healing to you.

Haven't done that, but I have snapped a tendon in my hamstring. Took me over 3 months to be able to walk normally again.
