I am not a world traveler and so am relying on a friends experience.

If you are going through customs in Toronto and want to know the time you should not take out your phone t see what time it is....

Think I saw a YouTube Video about this collection awhile ago...beautiful pieces - love the idea of the intricate craftsmanship that can construct such small mechanical devices that know leap years and individual days in each month - spectacular.

So, did any of you visit BaselWorld 2016? The new Air-King looks nice.

I don't know that anyone here is that dedicated to watches to warrant a trip like that. Personally, I rely on the reports on Timezone.

Of course Basel World is the show place for watches so it will have some really expensive things however more basic outfits do participate too. It's like the Auto Show you have Ferrari's and Honda Civics too.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with Ball watches, but I have four, and with the tritium tubes they are great at night. If don't know about these tubes ,the light up at night as the have a small amount of radioactive gas in them that reacts with the phosphor coating on the inside, they work great at night. Anyhow I' waiting for delivery of one that has the t-100 tubes, and can't wait, they used to be T-25,and those were bright, but these are amazing, will post a picture when it arrives, a Ball fireman Storm chaser Glo. I already have a Deep blue with these tubes and it's amazing, look them up, if you need to see your watch at night.

Every system has it's pros and cons. The Tritium tubes are very bright but they have a limited life and they tend to make a watch on the clunky side because the tube have to fit in the hands which requires more depth in the face of the watch. I've seen them use tritium tube buttons which are more compact.

I've seen Ball watches and they are nice designs however I have a personal vendetta against them because they base their advertising and name on something that doesn't exist.

BigSpendur, you appear to be very knowledgeable about watches! Could you please give me a "short list" of your favorite watches? Thank you!
