Not sure if any of you gu6s have any experience with the Casio G-Shock range but i can thoroughly recommend the AWG 101 Tough Solar. Its not the most expensive watch (approx £110) but i cant speak highly enough of it. It is solar powered, receives signals 5 times per day to ensure it always has the right time. Its shock resistant and waterproof to somethimg like 200 meters.

I also used to collect storm watches... But the wife made me sell them as in her eyes they 'were collecting dust'
