I had fogotten about those LCD watches, I don't like digital watches these days but my first ever digital watch was a Christmas pressy from my Mum when I was 14. It had a black face and when I pressed the button the digital time lit up in red.

I was super happy because they had pretty much just come out and I was one of the first kids with one, my friend next door had one too because a few off them fell off the back of a lorry and my Mum bought one from his naughty Dad.

Got to remember that one. ' Where did you get THAT?'

'Oh, it fell off the back of a Lorry!'

My dad worked for the City of N.Y and some of the Italian guys had "connections" and a variety of items were always being offered at cut rate prices. My first watch was a Timex he got in that way. Yea it was like a private wall mart them to you.

The haunting cry of the Favre Leuba Sea Bird today on the cardio walk around the neighborhood.

    Yep.

I'm fairly neanderthal in many ways; mostly in state of mind.

What a nice moon/swatch. Did you buy the whole set?

    Just kidding.

I used to have one and it's one of the few watches I sold and very much regret. It's about as classic a watch as you can get.
