Thanked: 1371Wheelguns!
I know there have been plenty of gun threads on here; I don't think there's been one dedicated to revolvers.
Wheelgunners of SRP unite!
I have a S&W K-frame that sits in a lock box, and a Ruger Blackhawk in 357 that I put at least 100 rounds a week through.
I cast my own bullets - wheelweight metal with 2% tin added.
I am thinking about buying a Bisley Blackhawk in 357 this week. My BH has a 4-5/8 barrel, and I want a 7-1/2 for hunting. The Bisley grip is interesting to me too.
I know there are a couple of cowboy action guys here, and some others that shoot single action revolvers.
What are you shooting? Pics are welcomed!Last edited by HNSB; 10-17-2011 at 06:08 AM. Reason: typo

I have a couple of them. Carried a S&W Model 19 .357 4" Combat Magnum for many years. I also had a S&W Model 60 .38 2" on my ankle at the same time. Solid, reliable, and the muzzle flash out of a 4" barrel with 125 grain, copper jacketed hollow point .357 rounds would burn the guy if you missed him with the bullet.
I still have them both and will never get rid of them. I'll post a picture later.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thanked: 14I'm not much of a modern gun guy (my go-to hunting gun is a flintlock fowling piece), so the only wheelgun I have is a Uberti 1860 Colt.
Cap n ball revolvers are a ton of fun.
My daughter shooting my 1860
Not mine, but a cap n ball revolver shot at night

Here is a 4 5/8 bbl Bisley Ruger in 44spl. I did the conversion so that even though it is a new model it has the half c0ck notch for ease of reloading and I love to hear the sound. I found the grip takes some getting used to. Presently I prefer the Blackhawk grip to the Bisley.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 101Nice Model 36 and Bisley! I too am a reloader and wheelgun nut. I prefer the wheelgun to the auto. Makes policing your brass a whole lot easier. I also cast all my own bullets as well. Plan to kill a deer (or 2 or 3) this weekend with my SBH 7.5 .44 Mag and Lyman's 429-421 over 20gr. 2400.
