I used to play Axis and Allies with cousins, but that game takes a while to play and there aren't many people willing to play it nowadays.
I grew up in the country with no close friends within 10 miles, so I actually played board games by myself!

Monopoly and Scrabble are family favorites, and I also enjoy Risk.
With distance being a factor, I have a standing run of Words With Friends games with my brother.

Thanked: 1371Monopoly - I used to play in tournaments.
It has since become a family tradition to play Monopoly at holidays.
I think I have about 25-30 Monopoly boards in the house (along with razors, I am a sucker for antique Monopoly sets), and most every electronic variant of the game that there is.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 1587Is cribbage a board game? It has a board to score on, but perhaps it is more a card game. Anyway, cribbage is my favourite game, board or card.
