I used to play Axis and Allies with cousins, but that game takes a while to play and there aren't many people willing to play it nowadays.

I grew up in the country with no close friends within 10 miles, so I actually played board games by myself!

    So who won?

Chess way back when, Risk and Monopoly were a blast as well.

I know what you mean. I love chess but always had problems finding someone to play, so I played myself. Sometimes I'd have a board set up for days playing a few moves at a time.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

Monopoly and Scrabble are family favorites, and I also enjoy Risk.

With distance being a factor, I have a standing run of Words With Friends games with my brother.

As a kid my favorites were monopoly, stratego, chess, and life

If I play now, I enjoy nine men's morris, axis & allies, and go

Monopoly - I used to play in tournaments.

It has since become a family tradition to play Monopoly at holidays.

I think I have about 25-30 Monopoly boards in the house (along with razors, I am a sucker for antique Monopoly sets), and most every electronic variant of the game that there is.
    Nightblade and otherstar like this.

Is cribbage a board game? It has a board to score on, but perhaps it is more a card game. Anyway, cribbage is my favourite game, board or card.
