Cool... going on my 25th year next year...with any luck I will be out by then! Just wrapping up a stint as creative director for BBC Worldwide. As a Dr. Who geek it was heaven... as a general TV job... it's given the shove I needed to look for a real job.
250K for an amp... think about that... I could have most of the artists you would play on that system (assuming they are mono amps and the corresponding mega buck TT, cables, preamps and speakers, etc.) come to your house and play live for you... and that includes U2, Pink Floyd and Buddy Holly (for that kind of money you can revive him). Silly.. but whatever... it's their money I guess.

Just wondering who is enjoying the finer things in life when it comes to high end audio. Lets see some pics of the systems.

Magnepans or Martin-Logans? I have a pair of baby Maggies but coupled to my Velodyne SPL-1200 they do sound wonderful.

I would love a pair of bigger Magnepans like your 1.6s but room is too precious at the moment. My Maggies are also 24 years old and still going strong.

I seem to recall their designation as SMGa. No ribbon tweeter as in their larger models but the same expansive sound stage you come to expect from Magnepan. I've always wanted to upgrade to larger versions but never really had the room for them. Who knows. I'm still youngish. Maybe when we get our next home I will finally buy my 2nd pair.
